John Varvatos Artisan Pure is inspired by the verdant and lush hills of Xalapa, Mexico and its vast coffee and citrus groves. Redolent, luxurious citrus notes bring an understated elegance to modern, sun-warmed woods.
The fragrance is a crisp, woody citrus scent, as refined as it is cool. Highlighted are three distinct types of petitgrains which use all elements of the citrus tree: leaves, branches, and tender fruit; as well as the best quality of orris.

Matthew Van Grinsven –
This smells similar to Selection Verte by Creed. So smells very good. However, it suffers from a problem of Selection Verte as well – longevity. I didn’t time it but I got it for a little while…..2 or 3 hours, and then suddenly it was gone. Again – I think it’s a very good smell….but on my skin it didn’t last. I didn’t try spraying on clothes or any of the tricks…..but far shorter lasting than average.
