The name Salvatore Ferragamo conjures up the image of luxurious shoes, clothing, handbags and well-known elegant perfumes. The Ferragamo company is family owned, and the care and perfectionism found in its products extends to its fragrances. Born in Italy, Ferragamo learned shoemaking at an early age and, in 1914, moved to the United States where he worked in a boot factory and later attended the University of Southern California to study anatomy; he wanted to find out why shoes hurt the feet. Returning to Florence, Italy, he designed and sold shoes to the rich and famous. In the 1950s, he had many stores in both Italy and the United States and a large workforce. The Ferragamo company introduced its line of perfumes in 1998 with Salvatore Ferragamo for Women, a sophisticated spicy, green scent. The Ferragamo and Incanto lines of perfumes have been manufactured by Ferragamo Parfums since 2001. As of 2014, there are 41 perfumes produced by the company, including the original Salvatore Ferragamo and F by Ferragamo, a floral perfume with a heady combination of jasmine, orange blossom and rose. The Incanto line produces classics like Incanto for Women, a white floral and fruity scent depicting Ferragamo's love for beauty. The Tuscan Soul Quintessential Collection is a unisex line of perfumes representing the beauty of Tuscany. Bianco di Carrara has an aromatic, woody scent reminding one of the stone of Tuscany, while Vendemmia brings to mind the grape harvest in Tuscany with its floral, woody scent.

Jesus del Pozo, award-winning Spanish designer of men's and women's fashions, opened his first store in 1974. Del Pozo began his career at the same time Spain was on its way to becoming a democracy, a time of great change. Del Pozo is credited with influencing style in Spain to bring the country's fashion into modern times. Influenced heavily by Cristobal Balenciaga, del Pozo presented his first collection in 1976. His successful line of wedding gowns and ready-to-wear expanded in 1992 to include perfume with the introduction of Duende perfume for women. Duende is a floral, sweet fragrance influenced by lime blossom, melon and mandarin orange. Esencia de Duende, presented in 1996, is a floral green fragrance with citrus as the main scent. Halloween was introduced in 1997 and became an international success. Said to be designed for the woman who is mysterious and seductive, it is a romantic combination of violet, lime and green banana with spicy undertones. The Halloween line continued with Halloween 2005 and Halloween Freesia in 2006, with new Halloween perfumes released almost every year up through Halloween Fleur in 2013, which is a youthful floral scent. Del Pozo also produces several men's fragrances in the Halloween line. These include Halloween Man, an oriental scent with woody undertones and Halloween Man Rock On, a masculine fragrance with woody, aromatic and spicy ingredients.

The house of French perfumer Pierre Montale was officially founded in Paris in 2003, although the designer created signature scents for Saudi Arabian kings, queens and aristocrats prior to striking out on his own. Known for his signature aluminum bottles that protect his fragrances from adverse, light-altering occurrences, Montale is renowned for introducing the Western World to his own signature brand of exotic, alluring Middle Eastern and Oriental scent notes. Each of Montale's men's, women's and unisex offerings are created from high-quality, natural materials such as sandalwood, cedar, rose and patchouli. His production house manufactures the scents in large batches to intensify the bouquets of the final products, as well as to ensure each creation's optimal long-wearing capabilities. One of Montale's most notable contributions to the global fragrance market is his use of aoud, also known as agarwood, in many of his collections. Celebrated as an aphrodisiac in the East, aoud is a highly coveted ingredient that is usually reserved for royalty. Aoud occurs when a mold, Phialophora parasitica, infects the Aquillaria tree with a darkly colored, aromatic resin. Sold for one and one-half times the price of gold, aoud also enjoys the nicknames "the wood of gods" and "liquid gold." Some notable fragrances in Montale's Aoud Parfums Montale include the unisex creations, Golden Aoud, which was released in 2008 and Aoud Greedy, which was released in 2013.
