For 2012, François Demachy has created Eau Sauvage Parfum, the new chapter in this legendary story. With the same timeless chic, and same degree of evidence, this great classic has, for the first time, dared to appear in the noblest of concentrations: Eau de Parfum, for black tie charm. This new composition emerges as a nocturnal signature fragrance with a pronounced citrus, woody and amber scent. Mysterious and sensual Myrrh combines with the virile potency of Haitian Vetiver to clothe the emblematic accord of Eau Sauvage.
It has new intensity, both deep and magnetic. The height of masculine sophistication.

Christian Dior developed a love of fashion when he was just 5 years old. He would sell his fashion sketches outside of his home in France for 10 cents each. Dior designed for multiple large fashion houses in his youth before founding his own in 1946. Wasting no time, he launched Christian Dior Parfumes just one year later. Still a cult classic to this day, Miss Dior was the very first perfume created by the house of Dior. This powerhouse brand has released over 50 fragrances for men and women and show no signs of slowing down. With a huge selection and a variety of price points, Dior truly offers something for everyone.

After decades with Dior’s EDT of Eau Sauvage, I bought the EDP. The two are NOT to be mistaken for each other. The signature citrus of the EDT is diminished in the EDP, with the rich amber and wood turned up. I only wear the EDP for special events (mostly evenings) or a formal dinner. Two sprays, usually behind the knees, but always far from my nose. The exotic fragrance is very powerful. This is an excellent addition to the elegant end of your fragrance collection!

Had to get my nose on this. Anything Dior. Smells like old money. Kind of similar to Terre d’Hermes. Both citrus woody fragrances. Only this one has a minty accord in it.
