Xerjoff Nio is an aromatic fresh and woody fragrance for men. Imagine walking through the the southern Italian countryside with the aroma of rich, delicious Neroli and Calabrian Bergamot citruses that are joined with mysterious spicy notes. Cardamom, nutmeg and rose pepper ties this unique blend with the melodious dry woody basenotes of Cedar and Guaiaco woods, Haiti Vetiver and Indian Patchouli. The scent starts with a burst of citrus that calms into a spicy wood with hints of citrus in the dry down.

One of the more unique and interesting summer fragrance I’ve smelled in awhile” definitely goes through different changes on the wearer and best of all has pretty decent projection and longevity for warmer day’s for sure.

I can totally see a lady rocking this despite it “marketed” towards men. Fresh, invigorating, and perfect for high heat.

Nio is recognized within the fragrance community as arguably the best citrus fragrance out there, and for very good reason. the opening is like tripping and falling nose-first into an orange tree in full bloom during spring. It dries down to a deeper woody-spicy, slightly ambery base while still retaining that crisp citrus opening from the start. The perfumer’s creativity and innovation must have been banging on all cylinders when developing Nio because it manages to excel where almost every other citrus fragrance fails; smell natural, retain the bright citrus opening throughout the life of the fragrance, and last a long time.
Worth sampling if only to have a frame of reference for the type of workmanship that likely went into its creation.
