The sun at its zenith heated the earth, the dry wind carried the scent of the trees and their fruit. Philosykos is an ode to the entire fig tree: the green freshness of the leaves, the density of the white wood, the milky flavour of the figs. In the eau de parfum, the fig tree reveals itself in a different way. The flavour of the fruit recedes while white cedar underscores the woody strength of the tree and its bark warmed by the sun at its zenith.

Fig lovers unite. I remember receiving my sample on a gray, rainy day in New York City – spraying it on and taking a walk in the rain. The fig is creamy with fresh green notes around it. I have the EdT as well but the coconut in the EdT takes the fragrance one whole step towards feminine while I think the EdP stands quite solidly in the middle of the spectrum.
